Bio
Yian devotes much of her time to contemplating the details of her next meal. The other things she does with her day include:
- Software/Data Engineering. Most of her recent work has been in Python and Go, but she's also built analytics software with a combination of Scala (Spark) and Java
- Art. Her drawings frequently have a touch of the absurd, but she also likes to remain faithful to the philosophy behind urban sketching.
- Badminton. There is no claim to fame here.

Discovering Related Content with Python - a talk at PyCon Slovakia about building a similar content discovery tool for journalists, including algorithm selection, input weighting, UI design, and user feedback.
NLP in Journalism Workshop at PyDays in Austria. This workshop focused on demonstrating different ways of measuring document similarity and various techniques used in Natural Language Processing. This is the complete code for the workshop and the slides. More models will be added in the future, as time permits.
